TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last Updated: January 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with CJ Quinn Music. By paying a booking fee/deposit to secure your date, you (the "Client") agree to the following terms.
1. BOOKING & PAYMENTS
1.1 Securing the Date: A booking is only confirmed once a non-refundable Booking Fee (Deposit) has been paid and you have received a confirmation email from CJ Quinn.
1.2 Quotes: All quotes provided are valid for 14 days. After this period, fees may be subject to change.
1.3 Balance Payment: The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days prior to the event date (unless otherwise agreed in writing). Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in the cancellation of the performance.
2. CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT
If you need to cancel your booking, the following charges apply based on the notice period given:
More than 90 days notice: Loss of Booking Fee only.
30 – 90 days notice: 50% of the total remaining fee is payable.
Less than 30 days notice: 100% of the total fee is payable.
3. CANCELLATION BY THE ARTIST
3.1 Unforeseen Circumstances: In the unlikely event that CJ Quinn is unable to perform due to sudden illness, injury, or unavoidable personal emergency, a full refund (including the Booking Fee) will be issued immediately.
3.2 Replacement: Every effort will be made to help you source a suitable replacement artist of similar standard and style, though this cannot be guaranteed.
4. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
To ensure a safe and professional performance, the Client agrees to provide the following:
4.1 Power Supply: Access to a safe, reliable 13-amp power socket within 5 meters of the performance area.
4.2 Shelter: For outdoor performances, the artist requires adequate shelter (gazebo/marquee) that is waterproof and provides protection from direct sunlight. The artist reserves the right not to perform in open rain or extreme heat due to damage risks to expensive equipment.
4.3 Access: Reasonable access to the venue at least 60 minutes prior to the start time for setup and soundcheck.
4.4 Refreshments: For bookings longer than 3 hours, the Client agrees to provide a light meal and soft drinks/water for the artist.
5. SCHEDULE & TIMINGS
5.1 Delays: CJ Quinn will arrive in good time to set up. However, the artist is not liable for delays caused by the venue, event coordinator, or other suppliers.
5.2 Overruns: Performance times are fixed as per the booking agreement. While the artist will try to be flexible, significant overruns may incur an additional hourly fee or may not be possible due to other commitments.
6. EQUIPMENT & SOUND
6.1 Equipment: CJ Quinn provides all necessary PA (sound system) and lighting equipment for the performance area unless otherwise agreed.
6.2 Volume: The artist will adjust volume levels to suit the room and guest comfort. However, if a venue has a strict "Sound Limiter" installed, the artist cannot guarantee the performance will be uninterrupted if the limiter cuts power.
7. FORCE MAJEURE
Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform their obligations if such failure is a result of "Acts of God" (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane, or other natural disaster), war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities, civil war, rebellion, revolution, or government restrictions.
8. JURISDICTION
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England & Wales.
